Buhari has finally signed the Public Holiday Amendment bill into law. The signing brings into action the June 12 Democracy day holiday.
Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, told the State House correspondents after the signing ceremony.
With the latest law in town as signed by Buhari, there will always be public holiday on June 12 of every year, while May 29th public holiday has been extracted from the law, which means that there will no longer be public holiday on 29th of May as it used to be.
May 29th of every year will remain a handing over date and of-cause a working day.
