Four Journalists that were posted to cover the Bayelsa State election reported got into a boat that capsized on the sea. The boat was moving the reporters across the sea of Sampou community in Kolokuma Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on Saturday.

Following a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the boat was conveying four journalists that were tasked to cover the governorship elections, including its correspondent.
The journalists were said to be heading back to base from a polling station when the boat capsized and left the victims submerged in the sea.

Although, there was no loss of life as a quick intervention of sympathizers helped save the lives of the journalists, though their mobile phones, cameras, and gadgets were drenched.

Other reports from Bayelsa State shows that the flood had covered many parts of Amasoma, Yenagoa, and some part of Sagbama, so much that polling stations originally meant to stay at the mention areas were moved to other places.
