President Buhari Gave Aliyu Aziz A Second Chance

“This re-appointment is in pursuant to the NIMC ACT that provides two terms tenure for the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission.’’ Aziz's second term tenure starts on Friday, November 22.

The re-appointment of the DG of NIMC, Aliyu Aziz, for the second term, has been approved by President Buhari. The approval was conveyed in a letter by the SSG, Boss Mustapha.

The NIMC second term begins on Friday, November 22, and Aliyu Aziz, the director-general of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), has obtained the presidential indication to head the commission for a second term.

Abdulhamid Umar, the general manager, Operations and Corporate Communications, on Friday, November 22, on his statement stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Aziz’s re-appointment.

Aliyu Aziz will continue with the good work he’s been doing and take NIMC to the next level, in agreement with the federal government’s doctrine of integrity, transparency, and accountability,” he said.
