Muslim fanatics are fuming over a quran concept cake that was baked by one Riqueza Cakes, and delivered to the client who ordered for it.
The fuss started after the baker posted photos of the cake on Twitter demanding for a retweet so as to get more customers. The tweet instead of attracting commendation triggered lots of fight as Muslims on Twitter identified as Arewa Twitter threatens fire and brimstone.
Accordingly, other tweeps who obviously aren’t Muslims have condemned the interference and threats from arewa twitter.
It’s not a new news that Muslims can go to any length in punishing anyone whom they feel mishandled the quran. The passion is that much. They belief that the quran is a sacred book of Allah (God) and must be kept as such.
They also belief that whoever mishandled the holy book of Allah should be killed, and Allah will bring blessing to such person.
But like antagonists of the Arewa Twitter reactions pointed out, what sense is in killing just to keep the quran sacred and yet violating the instruction embedded in it?
Below is the Twitter that caused the trending hashtag #quran and #arewa

It’s the same sentiment that made the illiterates in Nasarawa kill an innocent teacher who flung a student’s bag to the floor. They murdered her because she was oblivious to the fact that there was a Quran in the bag. Our northern compatriots have a primitive orientation.
