World pop singer Justin Bieber has just revealed he’s battling Lyme disease on his social media accounts. Bieber said, “It’s been a rough couple years,” the 25-year-old singer posted on Instagram while adding that he was also suffering from a chronic viral infection.

Bieber was fully aware of people’s speculation that he was grossly abusing drugs after he was spotted looking very sick with blotches on his skin.

A roundabout idea of what Lyme disease is all about is that it is caused by bacteria carried by some species of ticks.

What exactly did Justin Bieber say?

He wrote on his Instagram, that people had suggested he looked like he was “on meth”, but “they failed to realise I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health”.

Bieber assured that he was getting “the right treatment” to help address the disease and that details would be revealed in his forthcoming YouTube documentary series that would cover issues about his life and why he hasn’t been performing and why he cancelled his last 2017 tour.

“You can learn all that I’ve been battling and overcoming. I will be back and better than ever.” Bieber told his 124 million followers on Instagram.

Bieber’s wife, a model, Hailey Bieber, supported her husband’s claim and against criticism from those “trying to downplay the severity of Lyme disease”. She twitted, “Please do your research.”
