After many celebrities have been criticized for not taking any action to help the less fortunate during the coronavirus pandemic, Ed Sheeran is doing what he can do to help in his native Suffolk.
It is seen that the superstar has donated more than a million pounds this week to a variety of local charities and the huge sums have gone to a string of good causes such as the children’s hospital wards in Ipswich.
“Ed is very involved in the area and knows his donations will make a massive difference. “There are extremely grateful. “He has split a seven-figure sum between local charities to try to ease the strain on his local community, “ A source close to the singer said.
This is happening shortly after It was revealed last month that the generous superstar was paying staff at his restaurant their full wages despite it being closed during this crisis.
A source told the paper that Ed told everyone at his workplace not to worry and that he’s picking up the tab and he will see them again once things get back to normal.
Ed Sheeran mentioned in a conversation with his friend that aside from his contributions to the community he has been working on new music while in lockdown. “I’m going to try and write one song a day before lunch. If I can come out with one big song out of this quarantine then I’ve won.“
