R Kelly Wants To Be Released From Jail Yet Again

RnB singer R.Kelly says he is too famous to be a flight risk should he be released.

This is R.Kelly’s second attempt to be freed after the judge refused in his first attempt, during his first attempt, R.Kelly said he was afraid of contracting the disease because of his medical crisis. A week later his defense team filed a second motion seeking that he be released.

Kelly and his legal team said when he last asked to get out, the court noted there were no confirmed cases of the coronavirus at the Chicago jail where he’s currently locked up but that is no longer the case.

The Chicago MCC admitted that there are at least 6 confirmed positive cases now among inmates along with 7 members of the staff and argues its predictably going to get worse and should he not get out soon they are high chances of Kelly getting infected with the disease.

The Judge denied his first request because he felt he would be a flight risk and could intimidate witnesses. This time Kelly claimed that he is in danger of getting the disease behind bars and argued that he would not be a flight risk because he is too recognizable.

He agreed to the 24/7 surveillance and GPS monitoring to make sure he doesn’t go anywhere other than home or meet anyone other than his lawyers.

The judge had yet to make a decision whether to release him or not.
