The video below shows Republicans who voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election explaining why they will not vote for the president this November in a new ad.
The ad which was released by Republican Voters Against Donald Trump on Friday shows 15 former supporters of the president cite his lies, vitriolic rhetoric, and mishandling of the COVID-19 crisis as only a few reasons to turn their back on the president in the 2020 November presidential election.

Trump has “broken my faith in the Republican Party,” says one. Others claim to be “ashamed,” “embarrassed” and “riddled with guilt” to have backed Trump in the first place.
The ad will air on Fox News in Arizona and North Carolina on Sunday, according to the group (a project of the Defending Democracy Together advocacy organization) that regularly shares videos to YouTube of disaffected Republicans speaking out against the Trump White House.

“It takes courage to change your mind and speak out,” the group’s strategic director, Sarah Longwell, said in a statement. “Research shows that in order to win over swing voters who went with Trump last time, the most effective messenger to give them permission to change their mind is someone who is like them, former Trump voters.”
I hope more Republicans will work to return the party and our country to their former greatness. President of the United States shouldn’t be anyone’s first government job. Trump lies pathologically, has spent 365 days at his for-profit resorts on the taxpayers’ dime, and has provided jobs for donors and family members who had no qualifications. We have the highest rate of c-19 contagion in the world because Trump puts his re-election over public health, even cramming his supporters into an arena in defiance of all public health experts. He doesn’t care about citizens. It’s time for a servant leader in the White House.
