U.S Will Be ‘Banana Republic’ If Biden’s DOJ Prosecute Trump- Giuliani

Kamala Harris, a former prosecutor who was selected to be Biden's running mate, said during her own presidential bid that if picked, her administration’s Justice Department would probably chase criminal obstacle of justice charges against Trump. Former Vice President Joe Biden told NPR last week that he “will not interfere with the Justice Department’s judgment of whether or not they think they should pursue a prosecution.”

Rudy Giuliani proclaimed on Wednesday that if Joe Biden’s DOJ attempted to prosecute President Donald Trump the U.S would be “banana republic”.

Trump’s personal lawyer made the remark during an appearance on Fox News guest-hosted by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Under a news banner reading “How Kamala Harris would abuse the DOJ,” Huckabee asked his guest how ruined it would be for a Biden administration to criminally prosecute a former president.

“We would become a banana republic, Governor,” Giuliani replied. “That’s where we’re headed.”

Rudy Giuliani’s forecast was strange, coming from someone so straightforward about his own efforts to discover ruining information about a previous administration. Trump has honestly admitted he sent Giuliani to Ukraine, where he attempt to find dirt on Biden for the 2020 campaign. Giuliani called on Donald Trump to criminally investigate Biden earlier this year over groundless corruption allegations about Biden’s part in the ouster of a Ukrainian prosecutor. He’s also since asked for an investigation into President Donald Trump’s baseless “Obamagate” conspiracy theory.

And ahead of the 2016 election, Giuliani was a vocal advocate of prosecuting Hillary Clinton over her private email offence if she were to win office.
