On 24 August, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun in Vilnius to talk about the condition in Belarus, countering warnings made by Russia and the People’s Republic of China, and the support of human rights and democracy.
Biegun confirmed the long-existed Lithuania relationship and our nations’ shared devotion to security, economic, and global interests.

The U.S Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun also met with Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya to talk about the condition in Belarus and how civil society can build up democracy and human rights in the country.
