President Trump on Monday slammed the media for protecting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and mocked Obama’s vice president for confusing the commander-in-chief with former President George W. Bush.
President Trump tweeted, “Joe Biden called me George yesterday. Couldn’t remember my name. Got some help from the anchor to get him through the interview. The Fake News Cartel is working overtime to cover it up!”
During his speech at, “I Will Vote” show on Sunday, Biden mixed up both presidents.
“The character of the country, in my view, is literally on the ballot. Four more years of George, um, George, gonna find ourselves in a position where if Trump gets elected, we’re gonna be in a different world,” Biden said.
Former President George Bush was wrapping up his second term in office when Barack Obama and Joe Biden ran in 2008 and eventually succeeded.
President Trump also castigates the media for deliberately refusing to report the “tremendous progress” his administration is making in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
“We have made tremendous progress with the China Virus, but the Fake News refuses to talk about it this close to the Election. COVID, COVID, COVID is being used by them, in total coordination, in order to change our great early election numbers. Should be an election law violation!,” he said on Twitter.
