Chrissy Teigen is quitting Twitter as she has finally trashed her account. The model told her 14 million followers goodbye on Wednesday night on the social media platform.
She said that her time spent on the platform, “no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something.”
Chrissy actually started by thanking her fans and commending what they had “created” on the website, “Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world,” Chrissy who’s married to John Legend wrote.
“I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends. But it’s time for me to say goodbye.”
The model also noted that she was deeply bruised from her time on Twitter and hadn’t learned how to “block out the negativity.”
“My desire to be liked and fear of pissing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as!” she added.
Chrissy Teigen said she has no intention to quit Instagram, where she has about 34 million followers. The controversial celebrity actually asked President Joe Biden in Feb. to unfollow her on Twitter so she could “flourish.”
It wasn’t long after she said goodbye to her followers, her official Twitter account went into a blank mood, saying “This account doesn’t exist”.
