Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Teases White House Bid After Poll Result

A poll of more than 30,000 Americans conducted by Piplsay found almost half of respondents, precisely 46 percent willing to consider the candidacy of a future President Dwayne Johnson.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson added flesh to his rumored plan for a White House run with a coy tweet on a poll that found a shocking level of support for the idea.

“Not sure our Founding Fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club,” the beloved “Jumanji” actor and former pro-wrestler tweeted Friday.

“But if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve the people,” he added.

A poll of more than 30,000 Americans conducted by Piplsay found almost half of respondents, precisely 46 percent willing to consider the candidacy of a future President Dwayne Johnson.

Dwayne, 48, has been teasing the idea of a political career since at least 2017. In February he floated a possible run in an interview with USA Today, saying that he would “consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted.”

And in his current TV project, the faux-autobiographical “Young Rock,” he appears in regular segments as a future version of himself who’s running for president in 2032.
