We can boldly say Taylor Swift is in charge! Just hours after her Friday release of “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”, the singer’s dedicated re-recording of her Grammy-winning 2008 album she launched new merchandise, which includes a piece of jewelry.
Taylor’s “Capture It, Remember It” vault key necklace ($30) is made from antiqued copper and bears both the singer’s initials and a snippet of lyrics from the LP’s title song.
As the bauble was aimed as a nod to the six very new tracks “from the vault” that Swift chipped in on her new version of ‘Fearless,’ its link to her sophomore album is even deeper than that.

Fans noticed that Taylor Swift rocks an almost-identical key pendant on the cover art for 2008’s “Fearless” but most of the necklace is obscured by her name and the album’s title.
(the key is more visible on the cover of the album’s ‘platinum edition,’ which was launched in 2009)

A Twitter user stated his observation saying, “She’s not wearing the key necklace on the [“Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”] album cover like she used to- so she’s sharing it with us as merch.” While another user said, “I forgot that Taylor really used to wear key necklaces all the time during the fearless era and now she’s giving us one to the fearless vault.”
While the key necklace is notably MIA on the cover of Taylor Swift’s re-recorded “Fearless,” the singer still sneaked in another Easter egg with the top she rocked, a Shakespearean-style cream blouse that, closely looked like the shirt worn by Romeo actor Justin Gaston in the “Love Story” music video 13 years back.

Taylor also used her merch to send messages about her music before the release of her “Folklore” album in 2020; in addition to a T-shirt teasing her new lyrics, she added a cardigan that would later make a cameo in the music video for the album’s first single.
