Elon Musk’s May 8 ‘SNL’ Hosting Gig Sparks Outrage Among Artists

“Saturday Night Live” writer-turned-trouper Andrew Dismukes, 25, joined by saying on Instagram, “Only CEO I wanna do sketch with is Cher-E Oteri” — a reference to the former “SNL” veteran.

If you were thinking Elon Musk is only good at technology and rocket science then you got it all wrong as you will soon see him anchor the “Saturday Night Live” show.

Some members of the “SNL” are not sure of how they felt on Saturday when NBC announced that the 49-year-old Tesla boss will host their sketch comedy show alongside musical guest Miley Cyrus on May 8.

Elon Musk will be the first person who is not an actor or an athlete to host “Saturday Night Live” since former president Donald Trump spearheaded the satirical sketches in 2015.

The rocket scientist taking it to Twitter confirmed his upcoming task as host come May 8… saying, “Let’s find out just how live ‘Saturday Night Live’ really is.”

Elon Musk who is currently boasting a net worth of approximately $179 billion according to Forbes punctuated his cryptic post with the grinning devil emoji to let his 52 million Twitter fans know he’s ready.

But “Saturday Night Live” quipster Bowen Yang seemed to have hoped that Musk’s social-media memo was nothing more than a bad joke.

“What the f – – k does this even mean,” 30-year-old quipster Bowen Yang questioned in an Instagram Story post attached to a screenshot of the SpaceX chief’s tweet.

Fellow “SNL” jokester Aidy Bryant echoed Yang’s concerns about Elon, hailed the third richest person in the world, according to Forbes’ real-time billionaire billboard, and his forthcoming term as master of ceremonies.

Bryant, 33, reposted a tweet from Bernie Sanders as a thinly veiled dart aimed at Musk which read: “The 50 wealthiest people in America today own more wealth than the bottom half of our people.”

“Let me repeat that because it is almost too absurd to believe: the 50 wealthiest people in this country own more wealth than some 165 MILLION Americans. That is a moral obscenity,” the cyber barb continued.

“Saturday Night Live” writer-turned-trouper Andrew Dismukes, 25, joined by saying on Instagram, “Only CEO I wanna do sketch with is Cher-E Oteri” — a reference to the former “SNL” veteran.

Yang, Bryant, and Dismukes’ social-media posts have since been deleted.

However, “SNL’s” online audience flooded Twitter, showcasing their grievances about Elon Musk’s forthcoming appearance.
