Americans have criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for refusing to visit the U.S.-Mexico border region amid her promise to help prefer a solution that will solve the problem, while the White House was also slammed by detractors on Monday for covering for the VP.

Jen Psaki… White House Press Secretary told reporters that Kamala Harris’ focus is currently not on the border, but on the diplomatic level. The vice president recently said that she had not made any trips to the border due to the coronavirus risks.
Jen Psaki said, “I would tell you also that her focus is not on the border. It’s on addressing the root causes in the Northern Triangle.”
Meanwhile, in March, President Joe Biden appointed his vice president as his point person to see to it that the migrant surge at the southern border is resolved.
Top Political observers, at the time, saw the job as fraught with political risk for Kamala with little upside.
There seems to be little doubt of her continued interest in being president, and a continuing disaster at the border would all but eliminate her … especially since this job has been her highest-profile task.
Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Texas, joined Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” on Monday and said Kamala Harris is using COVID-19 as an excuse to avoid visiting the border.
“Coronavirus is the excuse that this administration is going to use. And look at her. She’s been jet-setting around this country, going to all the different blue states, talking about this infrastructure plan and everything else. So, no, this isn’t COVID, Kamala. And you know it,” he said.

A reader on Fox News site said, “Kamala, as with most politicians, has her heart set on wealth and power. Past that all else is expendable. Knowing full well with every passing day the prospects of this many potential Dem votes will provide plenty of wealth and power.”
