Kate Middleton appears to have moved on after Meghan Markle accused her of making her cry before their 2018 wedding, a royal expert Camilla Tominey has said.
Camilla, a British journalist said Kate has proven herself as a peacemaker between Harry and his elder brother, Prince William mostly during their grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral in April.
“Despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah Winfrey interview, when Kate was accused of making Meghan cry during a bridesmaid’s dress fitting and failing to support her, Kate rose decidedly above it all,” Tominey penned in Stella magazine via the Daily Mail.
In March, Meghan Markle claimed that although reports once said she made Middleton, cry before her wedding to Prince Harry, “the reverse happened” and “it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings.”
Though Meghan refused to give details of the incident to Oprah Winfrey because Kate “apologized, and I’ve forgiven her.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from acting as senior royals last year and relocated to California with their son, Archie, who recently turned 2. During their Oprah interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accused the royal family of racism and failing to help Markle with serious mental health issues.
After the interview, Harry returned to the UK in April for Prince Philip’s funeral, where he spent time with Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton. Camilla even said Kate was trying to bridge the chasm between the royal siblings at the funeral services.
