Razer Has Made Slippers For World Snake Day ‘Sneki Snek’

Each 100,000 milestone has resulted in the release of a new Sneki Snek product. Previous releases have included a cute plushie "optimized for cuddles" and a head pillow that "fits most gaming chairs."

Razer has released a pair of slippers featuring the company’s adorable Sneki Snek mascot, just in time for World Snake Day. They cost $49.99 and feature slip-resistant soles and a plush inner lining, which the company claims will keep your feet “snug and warm during long gaming sessions.”

They are also constructed from recycled materials. Before you dismiss the slippers as just another oddball Razer product, consider this: they have a cool backstory.

The slippers are part of Razer’s expanding Sneki Snek collection. It all began with a doodle drawn by one of the company’s designers for their newborn child.

As is customary, Razer fans took to the mascot and began using it in memes. Some people even got Sneki Snek tattoos.

Early on in the process, the company decided to collaborate with Conservation International to donate a portion of the proceeds from each Sneki Snek sale to forest conservation.

According to the company, each purchase will help save ten trees in countries such as Costa Rica, Madagascar, and China. Razer hopes to save one million trees in the future.
