Britney Spears’ life may be imitating art at this point. During her conservatory battle, the 39-year-old singer described herself as “bright,” “bold,” and “rebellious.”
“As you know, there’s a lot of change going on in my life,” she captioned an Instagram video of herself painting an abstract piece at home on Tuesday.
Britney explained that, while she initially felt “overwhelmed,” going to an art supply store to get paper and paints helped her express her feelings.
she wrote, “I wanted to see color and this is me messing around!!! Ok so I’m not a professional painter but I certainly felt like I was!!!”
“This is an expression of how I’m feeling at the moment … rebellious… colorful…bright…bold …spontaneous…magical…so obviously showing my true colors!!!!” She added.

Britney Spears’ post came after her mother, Lynne Spears, claimed in court documents that Britney has a “fear and hatred” for her estranged father, Jamie Spears who has been one of Britney’s conservators since the arrangement began in February 2008.
In court in June, the Grammy winner accused her father of forcing her to perform in 2018 and putting her in a mental health facility against her will in 2019. She recently requested that a Los Angeles judge charge Jamie with “conservatorship abuse.”
Mathew Rosengart, Britney’s new attorney, is actively fighting to have Jamie removed from the case. The singer has stated that she then wants the conservatorship to end.
