After months of rumors and leaks, Lamborghini has finally revealed its new hybrid-engine Countach. Fortunately, the model number tells you almost everything you need to know about the car: LPI 800-4.

The first part of the name is an abbreviation for Longitudinale Posteriore Ibrido, which refers to how the powertrain is mounted lengthwise toward the back of the supercar and that it is a hybrid.

Carbon fiber makes up most of the chassis and exterior of the Countach LPI 800-4.

“It imagines how the iconic Countach of the 70s and 80s might have evolved into an elite super sports model of this decade,” Lamborghini says of the design, which is more reminiscent of the Aventador than its original namesake.

Speaking of a select group, Lamborghini will only produce 112 units of the Countach LPI 800-4. The automaker’s press release makes no mention of a price tag. Lamborghini appears to be looking ahead, but the Countach was too important to ignore with a limited run.
