According to TMZ, Blackstock had refused to give up on the ranch, claiming he is entitled to the ranch because it was bought during their marriage even though  Clarkson’s prenup states that she can keep the ranch and everything she bought on her own, during the marriage, in a case of divorce.

E!News, however, reports that the court ruled against Blackstock’s claim that the Montana ranch was marital property and should be split equally by both parties.

According to a judge ruling, Kelly Clarkson will be the sole owner of the property where Blackstock has been living since their split.

The mother-of-two will therefore control the farm since she purchased it.

She had filed for divorce in June 2020 stating the reason for her decision to be “irreconcilable differences”.
