Madonna who’s an American singer-songwriter and actress has revealed some of the most painful movie roles she turned down.

The Queen of pop made this disclosure in an interview on “The Tonight Show” starring Jimmy Fallon.

According to Madonna, she had been offered a role as Catwoman in “Batman Returns” and was also offered a part in Showgirls, but she didn’t take them.

The 63-year-old music icon said; “I regret that I turned down Catwoman, that was pretty fierce. Showgirls, no.”

She, however, stated that her major regrets will be turning down a role in “The Matrix” when she was approached with one especially now that she realizes how successful the film became.

She told Jimmy: “A teeny, tiny part of me regrets that one moment in my life”.

Many awards were won by the movie, Matrix including the BAFTA Award for ‘Best Special Visual Effects. ‘Matrix Resurrections’, the fourth film of the franchise, is due for release in the UK on 24th December 2021.

Throughout her long career, Madonna has continually reinvented herself as a producer, songwriter, artist, and even as an actress.
