It is the end of the road for Greg Wise as a contestant in the celebrity dance contest, Strictly Come Dancing.
The actor was eliminated in the Sunday night episode of the show after facing a dance-off against comedian Judi Love. However, the 55-year-old samba to Macarena by Los Del Rio alongside partner Karen Hauer didn’t earn him a stay in the competition.
The judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke voted to save Judi and her partner, Graziano Di Prima.

Stating his reasons for going with Judi, Judge Craig Revel said, “It looked like you had just come out of a double hip operation. It was very clunky. Especially through the hip circles. Technically really quite bad actually.”
‘Well I counted all the mistakes and from what I saw I would have saved Greg and Karen.”, he added.
Agreeing with him, Judge Anton said; ‘I felt that the nerves got to both of the couples in the dance-off, which is not surprising really, and they both made quite a lot of mistakes, but one couple maintained an element of composure through the dance, and that would be Judi and Graziano.’
Greg, however, expressed his gratitude to host Tess Daly after learning he had been eliminated. He said, ‘I have had an amazing time. I feel unbelievably privileged and thank you all for having me.’
His 49-year-old dance partner, Karen also said; ‘It has been a blast. Thank you for the amazing lunches, thanks for the quality of work, and for being an amazing student. I have enjoyed our moments in the classroom, and just having fun with you. I’ve really enjoyed it.’

Wise who has appeared in Hollywood hit movies like Johnny English, Sense and Sensibility, Cranford, and The Crown is married to 62-year-old Dame Emma Thompson. His wife had previously taken time out to watch him compete on Strictly Come Dancing. In this show, celebs team up with professional dancers to compete in mainly ballroom and Latin dance with the results being decided by a panel of judges.
