Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared the first photo of their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana, as part of their 2021 Christmas card, which was released six months after their second child was born.
The Duchess of Sussex, 39, is seen holding Lilibet in the air while her husband Prince Harry, 36, sits next to them, holding the Sussexes’ firstborn child, Archie Harrison, 2, on his lap.

In the family portrait, taken over the summer by photographer Alexi Lubomirski, Harry, Meghan, and Archie are all wearing jeans, while Lili is dressed in a white dress to match her redheaded big brother’s button-down shirt.
The card is captioned, “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa,’ and Lili made us a family.”
Meghan and Harry also announced that their Archewell Foundation will make holiday donations to organizations that “honor and protect families,” such as Team Rubicon and Paid Leave for All.
The royal couple gave birth to their daughter on June 4, 2021, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, USA.
“She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe,” the Sussexes said in a statement at the time when she was born.
The royal couple’s new baby is named after the prince’s paternal grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and his late mother, Princess Diana. The Queen’s family nickname is Lilibet.
It was previously reported that Prince Harry had requested permission from the Queen to name his daughter Lilibet prior to the child’s birth.

Despite the tribute, one royal commentator referred to the name as “rude,” because it was a private nickname used by the Queen’s late husband, Prince Philip.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry famously announced their divorce from the royal family in early 2020. They live in a $14 million mansion in Montecito, California.
When they publicly congratulated Meghan and Harry on the birth of their daughter, the royals appeared to put their strained relationships aside.
