Nicki Minaj narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet of the Met Gala 2022.
The “Anaconda” rapper attended Monday’s ball in a feathery Burberry bustier gown, leather leggings, and a matching baseball cap, after famously skipping last year’s fancy fête due to its vaccine mandate.

But, as she explained on the red carpet, the bust of her dress left her, well, busting out.
“The only unplanned thing about my look is my boobs popping out because they made my cup size a little small,” Minaj joked.
“Enjoy these titties, ’cause y’all ain’t gonna see that ever again.”
The musician, who wore a daring ensemble with gemstones applied by Pat McGrath’s team to her arms, chest, and face, attended alongside Burberry creative director Riccardo Tisci.
“I’m here with my baby, Riccardo Tisci, that’s really my friend, so I’m here supporting him,” Minaj said.
Nicki Minaj added that her favorite part of the ensemble was her sporty leather hat, which luckily fit her perfectly.
“I’m obsessed with the hat. I didn’t want to do the look if I couldn’t do the hat, so he let me wear the hat!” she shared.
The Met Gala was held on May 2 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, with celebrity co-hosts Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The theme this year is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” and the dress code is “gilded glamour.” Minaj’s body was certainly gilded as a result of all of those body gems.
