Due to ongoing mobility issues, the Queen has missed important events in recent months. However, due to health concerns, her position has been officially reduced.
The monarchy’s annual report, published last week, revealed that Queen Elizabeth II’s role as head of state has been changed from 13 bulleted points to a more general description.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, the 96-year-“must old’s fulfill” duties have also been reduced. (The Post has requested comment from the Queen’s press office.)
It’s the first time in more than a decade that her job description has been formalized. It also acknowledges the long-reigning monarch’s health issues.
For months, the Queen, who lost her husband, Prince Philip, last April, has avoided high-profile events while devoting more time to her family.
Prince Charles formally opened Britain’s Parliament in May. His mother did not attend the ceremony for the first time in nearly 60 years.
The Queen also missed the first day of Royal Ascot last month due to mobility issues, and she was absent from a church service during her Platinum Jubilee celebration due to “discomfort.”
She then appeared as a hologram in the closing parade. During the Order of the Garter service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in June, the proud royal also used a cane for an official portrait.
Daniela Elser, a royal expert, wrote an op-ed for Australian news outlet News.com.AU last month, calling images of the queen greeting New South Wales Governor Margaret Beazley in the UK “nothing short of alarming.”

Elser compared the images to ones taken nearly a year ago. “The difference is truly startling. In the intervening 12 months, Her Majesty would appear to have become markedly more stooped, much thinner and overall appears to have shrunk,” Elser wrote.
Last week, however, she wore an eye-catching monochromatic lavender ensemble to Scotland for her annual Holyrood week, which celebrates the nation’s culture.
