Aaron Carter was discovered dead at his home in California on Saturday, according to a recent report by Page Six that first published the news.

According to the publication, a rep for Aaron on Saturday said, “It is with great regret to confirm Aaron Carter was found unresponsive this a.m. in his home in Palmdale, CA.

“The family has been notified and will be flying out to Los Angeles. Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life in recovery, to be a good father and to make amends with his family.”

SurgeZirc US also learned that multiple sources confirmed to TMZ that Carter’s body was discovered in his bathtub on Saturday.

Law enforcement was reportedly called to the scene around 11 a.m. local time after receiving a report that a male had drowned.

Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide, according to TMZ, but the outlet was told that this is standard procedure.

At the time of compiling this report, the official cause of death has not been determined, and it is unlikely to be revealed until an autopsy and coroner’s report are completed and released.

Aaron Carter rose to fame as a child star in the late ’90s with hits like “I Want Candy,” “Aaron’s Party,” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq.” And of course, he was also known for being the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.

Carter and Martin have dated off and on since January 2020.

The pop singer previously stated that he was seeking assistance to deal with “triggers” that caused him to want to smoke marijuana, and he also admitted to taking Xanax as part of a “regimented medication” plan to keep him “clean from huffing dust.”
