She sent a message with her outfit, pairing her figure-hugging long-sleeved dress with bright purple suede pumps to contrast with her green frock — colors that represent the feminist movement when combined.

According to the International Women’s Day website, green, which represents hope, and purple, which is the color of International Women’s Day, have been combined with white to represent the women’s movement since 1908.

Markle joined Rabbi Sandy Sasso for last night’s sold-out benefit.

Markle, who said she faced “very real” threats in the UK, added to the theme of the event with the Logan Hollowell emerald pendant ($3,450), which she previously wore with a jumpsuit while shopping with a friend last month.

According to the brand, the stone “benefits intellect, communication, decision making, and promotes truthfulness and honesty, seeing beyond the superficial,” in addition to representing one of the colors of women’s rights.

Her overall look is similar to the duchess’s green Emilia Wickstead cape dress, which she wore to the Commonwealth Day service in 2020, her final official appearance before leaving the UK and moving to California.
