Icon Zendaya Coleman did not attend the Critics Choice Awards even after winning “Best Actress” Award. The award was given to her for her role as Rue in the popular Television series Euphoria.
The actress states that she was unable to attend due to “work commitments” and the host, Elle Fanning received the award in her place.
Zendaya’s role in Euphoria follows the life of a teenager who struggled with drug addiction and high school drama. The series first made its debut in 2019 and has run 2 seasons even since.
The star has risen in fame from her early Disney days to becoming the legend she is now. From playing Rocky in Shake It Up, she is now currently a famous actress and music icon. This Barbie doll model is currently making headlines for her relationship with Tom Holland.
Although the star was unable to be physically present for her award, she still showed gratitude to the Critics Choice Association the following morning on her Instagram.
This role granted her not only this award but a Golden Globe and Emmy as well. What a great year for the star!
