Six people were killed, including a teen mom and her 6-month-old baby, in the early hours of Monday morning at Goshen, California.
The police were alerted multiple times when shots were being fired just after 3:30 am local time. They believed an active shooter was in the area because of the multiple rounds that were fired.
The police arrived at the scene where they found two victims dead just in the street and a third in the doorway of the residence where the shots were fired from, according to Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux.
Unfortunately, the one victim that was found alive at the scene and was taken to the hospital when the police arrived, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to the Sheriff, they believe they have two suspects at this point. They also believe that this act of violence was not random. “This is a targeted act of violence,” he said.
The Sheriff also told reporters that the same home was raided in the past week for narcotics. They believe the family was involved in gang activities which may have led to their being targets.
It was also stated that some people had survived the massacre by hiding inside the house.
“I do have more information but I’m not at liberty to discuss it at this point,” Mr Boudreaux added.
But right now, they do have investigators interviewing multiple people, including neighbors and friends for more information about the “horrific massacre,” as described by the
