Biden Refuses To Comment On Trump Indictment When Asked By Reporters

Biden refuses to comment on Trump indictment when asked by reporters.
President Joe Biden gave a 'no comment' when peppered with questions about former President Donald Trump's federal indictment during a community college tour in North Carolina Friday

During a Friday community college tour in North Carolina, President Joe Biden was asked about the federal indictment of former President Donald Trump and responded, “No comment.”

Biden made his first comment regarding the historic indictment that Trump revealed on Thursday night while receiving a tour of the robotics lab at Nash Community College.

‘I have no comment at all,’ Biden said as reporters were being rushed out of the room. Earlier in the day, he had ignored several shouted questions.

On the flight from Washington, D.C., to his two stops in North Carolina, his deputy press secretary Olivia Dalton also made several non-commentary statements earlier.

Like all Americans, she also said Biden watched the news to learn about Trump’s news.

DailyMail.com asked her if she could comment on Republican concerns regarding the Trump indictment on the same day House Republicans were given access to an FBI document in which a source claimed a Burisma executive said Biden and his son Hunter were paid $5 million each to drop an investigation.

‘Again, we’re not going to comment on this,’ she said. ‘I will tell you, though, that – and confirm, as we’ve said overnight, that the president and senior staff found out just like everybody else last night.’

“No advance knowledge that this was coming.” She added, “found out from news reports, like everyone else across America.”

Dalton was questioned about the indictment news as soon as she boarded the plane to mingle with reporters.

She stated, “We are just not going to comment on this case and would refer you to the DOJ,” which independently conducts criminal investigations.

Additionally, she declined to address GOP concerns that the Department of Justice has become politicized under Biden.

‘Look, this is a president who respects the rule of law and has said that since day one,’ she noted. ‘That’s precisely why we’re not commenting here. He believes in respecting the independence of the DOJ and protecting the integrity of their processes. And that’s, again, why we’ll leave it there.’

Dalton likewise wouldn’t remark on whether the president was alright with liberals gathering pledges off the Trump news.
