Adele is known for her soulful voice and heart-wrenching ballads, but she recently revealed a not-so-glamorous side effect of her Las Vegas residency. The talented singer confessed that her intense performances under the hot lights have left her battling an unpleasant fungal skin infection commonly known as “jock itch.” Talk about TMI, Adele!
During one of her electrifying shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Adele couldn’t help but address the issue. She shared with the audience, “I was so hot, my t**s were sweating! I need a towel, Jesus!”
It turns out that the Spanx she wears on stage to keep everything in place traps her sweat, creating the perfect breeding ground for a jock itch.
Ever the candid queen, Adele didn’t hold back the details. She shared, “Obviously when I do my shows, I wear Spanx to keep it all in and make it all fit me. And I sweat a lot, and it doesn’t go anywhere. So basically, I just sit in my own sweat.”
Yikes! Adele’s doctor prescribed her “Jock Itch” cream, and she humorously added, “So it looks like I am an athlete basically, so I have to squirt it on myself. I don’t know why the f**k I just told you that!”

But let’s not forget, this is Adele we’re talking about, and she knows how to find humor in any situation. Referring to the Denver Nuggets, she jokingly quipped, “Sounds like I am a big Nuggets fan there, doesn’t it? Jock Itch, that is what it is called right?”
Leave it to Adele to find the silver lining in a fungal infection.
Aside from her jock itch revelation, Adele also opened up about her nerves as she returned to her Vegas residency after a three-month break. She confessed, “All week I had just been buzzing, and right then I was stood right there (behind the curtain) and I s**t myself!”
It’s refreshing to see that even a superstar like Adele can still get the jitters.
Despite the challenges, Adele’s Vegas residency, titled “Weekends with Adele,” has been a career highlight for the Grammy winner. She genuinely loves performing these shows and shared, “It is the highlight of my week. I was desperate to get back. It is a whole new meaning.”
