This case stems from an incident in 2018, when a gun owned by Hunter Biden was thrown into a trash can outside a market in Delaware. The police report indicated that Hallie Biden, Hunter’s former partner and the widow of President Biden’s late son, Beau, was the one who disposed of the firearm.
It is worth noting that Hunter Biden had purchased a gun earlier that month, as confirmed by a firearm transaction report.
These charges come after an original plea agreement collapsed in July, where Hunter Biden was expected to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax counts and a felony gun charge. However, he pleaded not guilty to the charges, leading to the current indictment.
