President Biden's Campaign Releases Attack Ad Blaming Trump For Saving Innocent Unborn Lives.

President Biden’s presidential campaign released a new attack ad on Sunday, aiming to hold former President Donald Trump responsible for the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The ad features Dr. Austin Dennard, an OB/GYN and mother of three from Dallas, who shares her personal experience of being forced to leave Texas to get an abortion due to a fatal fetal condition.

Dr. Dennard explains that she never anticipated needing an abortion for a planned pregnancy, but the choice was taken away from her in Texas due to the overturning of Roe v. Wade by Donald Trump. She emphasizes the importance of having leaders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who will protect women’s rights and not take them away.

The ad concludes with images of Biden and Biden with Harris, accompanied by the voiceover of President Biden stating, “I’m Joe Biden and I approve this message.”

Monday marks the 51st anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision on Roe v. Wade. However, the decision was overturned in June 2022 during Biden’s term in the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling.

Former President Trump, who took credit for adding conservative justices to the court and thus contributing to the overturning of Roe, has described himself as the most “pro-life president.” However, he faced criticism from conservatives after criticizing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s six-week ban on abortion.

Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to deliver remarks in Big Bend, Wisconsin, as part of her “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour. She will address holding extremists accountable for proposing a national abortion ban, calling on Congress to restore the protections of Roe, and outlining the steps the Administration is taking to protect access to healthcare.

President Biden will convene the fourth meeting of the Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access, during which agencies will announce new actions to protect access to reproductive health care, according to the White House.

In a statement released by the White House, President Biden expressed his commitment to protecting women’s reproductive freedom against the dangerous and extreme agenda of Republican officials. He called on Congress to restore the protections of Roe in federal law and highlighted the risks women face due to restrictive abortion bans in various states.

President Biden further criticized Republican elected officials for pushing for a national ban and implementing new restrictions across the country, despite the rejection of such attempts by the majority of Americans. He emphasized the importance of trusting women to make decisions about their own bodies and futures.

The release of this attack ad by President Biden’s campaign underscores the significance of the abortion issue and the administration’s commitment to protecting women’s reproductive rights. As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how the public will respond and what actions will be taken to address the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
