Jennifer Garner and her son Samuel Affleck are feeling the Halloween spirit. The 13 Going on 30 actress released a rare video of herself and Ben Affleck’s 12-year-old son. And it’s frightening.

The clip, published on Instagram on October 27, began with the onscreen phrase, “Moms in a haunted house,” as the camera focused on Jennifer as she and Samuel walked through the attraction.

“I see you, I see you,” the 52-year-old said to one of the scare performers before screaming. In another motherly moment, Jennifer said that she despises when the actors “pursue” her before yelling, “Don’t pursue,” as she raises her hand.

While Samuel was not visible on video, the adolescent lets out a series of screams with his mother, at one time telling her, “Mom, you’re breaking my hand, I can’t actually feel my hand.”

Samuel Affleck may also be heard telling his mother, “I’m not alright.” Meanwhile, Jennifer and Samuel were subjected to a series of jump scares before she jokingly informed one of the haunted house performers, “I’m not who you want, take my son.”

Jennifer and her ex’s oldest children, Violet (18) and Serephina (15), were not present for the camera shot.

Jennifer, who was married to Ben from 2005 to 2018, has kept her children mostly off social media and out of the spotlight. However, the mother of three has openly celebrated their milestones on her social media sites.

In June, Jennifer and Ben threw Samuel’s graduation party in the Oscar-winning actor’s Brentwood, California home. The same month, the Alias actress made rare comments about her children, writing an emotional thank-you note to their teachers.

Jennifer wrote in a June 13 Instagram post, “Thank you for caring about my children with me. for tying their shoes and holding their hands.

“Thank you for disciplining my kids when they’ve needed it and for offering more hugs than some children receive in a lifetime.”

She continued, “I wanted my three to have a safe space where they could focus on the business of being little,” she continued, “and where education and character were prioritized.”

Jennifer Garner is open about the fact that motherhood is her favorite role. In May, the Yes Day star raved about her “great” pregnancies and joked about doing it again.

“Oh my gosh. I’m 52 next week and I bet I could have one in a field right now. I was born to breed, for sure—big hips,” she joked on the May 8 episode of the Kelly Corrigan Wonders podcast.
