Eight Persons Died, Fourteen Severely Injured In Adamawa Auto Crash

Eyewitnesses report shows that the accident actually occurred at a sharp bend along Yola-Numan Road Wednesday evening.

At least eight persons were died in a fatal accident involving two vehicles in Adamawa State, of Nigeria.

Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mohammed Husseini, confirmed the said accident, stating that one of the accident victims, a female to be precise, had her head decapitated.

Mohammed Husseini blamed the accident on reckless driving and further said that the bodies of those that died had been deposited at the Specialist Hospital mortuary in Yola.

Eyewitnesses report shows that the accident actually occurred at a sharp bend along Yola-Numan Road Wednesday evening.

Further report revealed that one of the vehicles was among an ongoing convoy of an ambulance which was conveying a corpse from Jada Local Government Area to Guyuk, both in Adamawa State.

Despite the eight persons who lost their lives at the spot, fourteen others were severely injured and they are currently receiving treatment in the hospital in Yola, the state capital.
