Liverpool Beat Tottenham 1-0 To Stay 16 Points Top Of Premier League Table

Liverpool beat Tottenham 1-0 with a Roberto Firmino first-half goal to stay 16 points at the top of Premier League table on Saturday, as the European champions stretch undefeated run.

The Reds are making the best out of the season with a peerless start of 20 game victory from 21 games, which has cleared the way for a possible 30-year Premier League title drought end, although Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp played down its significance.

“We know about it and it is special but I can’t feel it,” Klopp said while adding, “When someone gives you a trophy it is done but until then you need to fight. It is only the start. We need to continue because our contenders are so strong.

“Pep (Guardiola, Manchester City boss) will not give up. I will do the same. So far, so really good.”
