Republican Ron Johnson Attempting To Subpoena Officials In FISA Probe

Republican Senate Committee chairman Ron Johnson is looking to subpoena Obama administration officials and other Democrat members involved in the FISA Russian Probe.

Republican Senate Committee chairman Ron Johnson is looking to subpoena Obama administration officials and other Democrats involved in the FISA Russian Probe.

Senator Johnson will also be looking to subpoena high-level security officials including  FBI Director James Comey, former FBI General Counsel Jim Baker, former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page former FBI agent Peter Strzok.

Among this list of individuals, Senator Johnson will also try to interview State Department and General Service Administration officials.

Republican Senators are looking to bring to book anyone that was involved in FBI Russian investigation into ties between President Trump and the Moscow.

The subpoenas are targeting mainly officials who are involved in unmasking the names of American citizens involved in the investigation which the Republicans are crying was an abuse of power.

Senator Johnson  went on to say that:

He went  onto explain that the request fr subpoenas just to ensure that the procedure could be carried out as efficiently as possible in case they came across any obstacles as he added:

I am asking for this authority to ensure the committee has the ability to quickly and efficiently seek compulsory process should it become necessary.”

Only time will tell how cooperative the Democrats and other security officials mentioned on the list will be or if they will take a page out of the Republican book and slow down the process by challenging any subpoenas in the courts.
