Michael R. Pompeo , Secretary of State has congratulated the Moldova people on behalf of the United States Government and the American people as they celebrate their Independence day.
“Since 1991, the United States has been a devoted partner to Moldova as you continue on the way towards economic prosperity, good governance, and European integration. The United States still remains dedicated to Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and we will continue to play a big part in deals to settle the Transnistria dispute, we are also proud of our cooperation in the battle against coronavirus,” Pompeo said.

“Your presidential elections this fall will be an important milestone in Moldova’s independence and democratic development. We look forward to free and fair elections that fully respect the will of the Moldova people and meet international standards”, Michael R. Pompeo added.
