According to CNN’s Kate Bennett, the dress seemed to be a Valentino, but to the troublemakers online, it was nothing more than a blank canvas. Video editors quickly had it, using the dress as a chance to attract attention to some of the matters that were hardly addressed by Republicans during the four-day convention. The COVID-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests were common themes overlaid on the dress.
