Huma Abedin in a new book she has released has said that she was once assaulted by a US Senator and was afterward shaken that she ended up apologizing to the senator.

Abedin explained that it was after a dinner attended by a couple of senators and their associates that the incident took place.

“I ended up walking out with one of the senators, and soon we stopped in front of his building and he invited me in for coffee,” Abedin said, adding that “Once inside, he told me to make myself comfortable on the couch.”

The senator thereafter “plopped down to my right, put his left arm around my shoulder, and kissed me, pushing his tongue into my mouth, pressing me back on the sofa,” she narrated.
