Footage Proving Kylie Jenner Lied About Net Worth Surfaces

The author of the original Forbes article that referred to Kylie as the “youngest self-made billionaire ever,” Natalie Robehmed, is now providing some new insight into her experience speaking with the cosmetics queen.

When Forbes magazine accused Kylie Jenner of lying to them about her fortune in 2020, she suddenly found herself in the middle of a heated debate.

The makeup company Kylie Cosmetics’ owner, Kylie, who was 21 at the time, was dubbed the “youngest self-made billionaire” in history by Forbes in an online article written by Natalie Robehmed.

Given that Kylie is the youngest member of the affluent and privileged Kardashian/Jenner family, the article provoked controversy over Forbes’ usage of the term “self-made,” which is perhaps what makes it most noteworthy.

For those who don’t know, Kylie sold a 51% part of her firm to the global beauty brand Coty later that same year, in November 2019.

As a result, Kylie Cosmetics’ worth skyrocketed. This led to a brand valuation of around $1.2 billion for her, demonstrating that Forbes had accurately branded her as a billionaire.

Kylie’s status as a “billionaire” would soon be removed by Forbes, who charged the mogul’s crew with fabricating tax returns to increase Kylie’s net worth and “lying” about the value of her company.

In May 2020, Forbes released a shocking article titled “Inside Kylie Jenner’s Web Of Lies.”

The publication stated that they thought Kylie’s revenues were “much smaller” than what she had initially claimed, which was that Kylie Cosmetics had increased its sales from “nothing to $300 million in a single year.”

Kylie vehemently refuted Forbes’ claims that she had in any way misled about her riches. Additionally, Kylie’s team sent a letter to Forbes denying any wrongdoing on her part, including falsifying tax records.

“The accusations that the Jenners/Kardashians or their accountants, falsified tax returns and then lied about their 2016 revenues for the last four years, are absolutely false,” their letter stated.

Natalie candidly shared never-before-heard audio footage from her interview with Kylie and Kris in a three-part series for the Infamous podcast titled, “Plumping Profits? A Kardashian Scandal,” and accused them of “shaping” and “creating” their own narratives as she questioned whether or not she had been misled during their conversation.

Natalie began by observing that “any time” she questioned Kylie about the company’s finances, the young businesswoman deferred to Kris, who provided markedly “vague” responses.

For instance, Kylie asked her mother to respond when Natalie asked how much cash she had to pay upfront to have the first batch of Kylie Cosmetics items created.

Kris then requested a second attempt from Natalie before confessing, “Oh my goodness, I don’t know the invoice by heart.”

Kris was unable to determine the number of units sold by Kylie Cosmetics in 2017 or the proportion of sales that came from lip kits vs other products in Natalie’s question.

Kris was able to briefly mention that Kylie Cosmetics was a six-figure company that Kylie herself had funded. Natalie later claimed that the pair had informed her that Kylie owned “100% of Kylie Cosmetics,” but she later learned that this was untrue.

Natalie discovered that Kris was keeping 10% of Kylie’s business profits after checking through Coty’s paperwork. Natalie said Kylie kept “zoning out” during the interview while Kris responded to any inquiries about money on her behalf.

There is a moment when Kylie can be heard randomly interrupting Natalie and Kris’s chat to say that she needs to change her lip gloss, which causes a commotion of laughs among the audience.

Natalie reaffirmed that Coty said Kylie Cosmetics’ revenue was $177 million from November 2018 to November 2019 and that it had increased 40% elsewhere in the podcast.

The previous year, it would have been roughly $125 million, and Natalie stated she had previously been told the company’s revenue in 2018 was “well north of $300 million.” On the show, she claimed to have seen “tax returns to that effect.”

But as she said, Natalie wasn’t surprised by this. Analysts and business professionals allegedly informed her that the figures appeared “implausible” when she first examined Kylie Cosmetics’ tax returns prior to the crisis; this claim was made in Forbes’ “web of lies” story.
