After four years together, the reality star Kaitlyn Bristowe, and her fiancé Jason Tartick, have called it quits.
“After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement,” they said in a joint statement shared on Instagram on Sunday.

“We are grateful to everyone who provided us with the time and space to process this life-changing decision, as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.”
“Our dogs Ramen and Pinot will continue to be cared for as brothers,” they stated. We shall adore and care for them jointly even when their humans are no longer emotionally attached.”
The ex-couples went on to explain that keeping their connection is “extremely important to both of us.”
“We are grateful to have finished our engagement with love and respect for one another.” It’s terrible and difficult to say goodbye, but our love and admiration for one another will last forever,” they added.
“We are eternally grateful for the memories we’ve created together, as well as your ongoing support for us and the boys.” We will always have that degree of support for one another in the future. We don’t know what the future holds, so please make room in your hearts for us.”
Bristowe, 38, and Tartick, 34, began dating in January 2019 and are planning to marry in May 2021. In November 2021, the “Bachelorette” Season 11 winner told Page Six that she and the Season 14 contestant have “a date picked” for their wedding.
However, they postponed the ceremony due to their “different tastes,” which she characterized as “frustrating” in an August 2022 interview with Us Weekly.
On July 29, Bristowe fueled separation rumors by posting images of herself without her engagement ring.

Bristowe was previously engaged to Shawn Booth, whom she met in March 2015 on the ABC reality dating show. The exes split in November 2018, saying in a joint statement that they were “very much committed to remaining friends.
” However, Bristowe later accused Booth of exploiting her celebrity to benefit himself. “It felt like he was hanging on until his gym opened,” she said on Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast in April.
