Meta is merging its three creator monetization programs for Facebook to make it easier for individuals to begin earning money on the social network. The company offers creators three ways to generate money on its website: in-stream commercials, ads on reels, and performance bonuses.

Each has a unique eligibility condition and sign-up method. The new Facebook Content Monetization initiative will make it easier for producers to earn money on the Internet by only requiring them to apply and go through the onboarding process once.

Meta stated that it had compensated creators more than $2 billion for their Reels, videos, images, and text contributions in the last year. However, it also stated that creators are unable to maximize their earnings on the platform, with only one-third of earnings from multiple projects.

Meta will grant access to a new Insights tab, which displays how much money they’re making from various content forms. They may also monitor which videos and postings generate the most revenue. Previously, the corporation maintained distinct insights tabs for each initiative.

The new monetization tool is still in beta and will be available till next year. Meta will begin inviting 1 million artists who are already making money on the social network to participate in its beta testing this week, but it will continue to send invitations to more people in the months ahead.

Creators are not required to participate in the test if they do not like to do so, but if they do, they will be unable to rejoin Facebook’s solo monetization schemes.

Those who do not receive an invitation quickly but wish to participate in the new initiative can indicate their interest on Facebook’s official content monetization website.
