Lawyers have launched another attempt to release Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs from his horrible prison conditions. A new judge ordered the court to stop the defense’s repeated motions before Diddy’s Oct. 10 hearing.
Judge Arun Subramanian denied the defense’s bail plea in a recent court filing. Subramanian was reassigned to the case, allowing a new opportunity to discuss bail appeals.
However, the court chose to reject documents that previously included bail package proposals.

In court papers, the judge stated: “The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to terminate the motions at Dkts. 9 and 13, which were resolved before the reassignment of this case to me.”
Document 9 detailed the first bail package offer, which included a $50 million bond and the surrender of his passport. Document 13 had a lengthy case from Diddy’s team, which addressed both “the risk of flight and the danger to the community.”
It also restated the prior package offer while introducing new, stringent conditions. Combs’ lawyers have proposed harsh bail conditions, including barring women from entering his home unless they are family members or the mothers of his children.
They also urge that the embattled music tycoon submit to weekly drug testing and avoid contact with prospective witnesses.
Diddy has also committed to keep a visitor record, take weekly drug tests, and submit to house detention with GPS monitoring.
“The sensationalism surrounding his arrest has distorted the bail analysis: Mr. Combs was not released pending trial, even though he offered to comply with restrictive conditions that would have prevented any conceivable risk of flight or danger,” defense attorney Alexandria Shapiro penned in a legal brief.
Court documents from Diddy’s team further assert, “Sean Combs has never evaded, avoided, eluded or run from a challenge in his life. He will not start now. As he has handled every hardship, he will meet this case head-on, he will work hard to defend himself, and he will prevail.”
The rapper was arrested last month on allegations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, deception, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy’s mother Cissy Combs said her son is not guilty as charged.
