Nigerian Police Tells How It Rescued Its Officer ‘Rambo’ From Kidnappers

The police officer, Isa Rambo, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police in the state, was kidnapped by unknown kidnappers Saturday, on his way to Jos, Plateau State.

Nigerian police said it has successfully rescued its member, Isa Rambo, the Area Commander, Suleja Area Command of the Nigerian Police, who was kidnapped in Kaduna.

The police officer, Isa Rambo, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police in the state, was kidnapped by unknown kidnappers Saturday, on his way to Jos, Plateau State.

According to reports, the kidnappers were demanding a ransom of N50 million before setting him free. A spokesperson for the police, Frank Mba said the police rescued Mr. Isa with the help of the combined team of the police operatives.

“He was successfully rescued by a combined team of police operatives from Kaduna, Niger and Zone 7 Command Headquarters Abuja, backed up by members of the elite Special Forces of the NPF,” said Mba.

Speaking about the suspect, Mr. Frank Mba said that two suspects in connection to the crime have been arrested and the police is still investigating the matter.
