Ice Cube Drops ‘Oh Hell No’ Role After Refusing To Get COVID-19 Vaccine

Ice Cube said, “Doctors of the world: Stop lying about the Coronavirus. The people needs absolute TRUTH.”

Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, has allegedly walked away from comedy, Oh Hell No movie role worth $9million (£6.6million) after refusing to get the Covid-19 vaccine. 

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the actor turned down a request from producers to get vaccinated before production began on the comedy film Oh Hell No. 

The 52-year-old rapper had been slated to star opposite Jack Black in the upcoming Sony film. The movie is scheduled to begin filming in Hawaii this winter, the first state in the U.S. to have vaccinated 90 percent of its population against Covid-19.

A source claims the studio is now seeking a replacement for the actor who was due to make $9m (£6.6m) for the role.

Although Ice Cube has donated tremendously to the fight of Covid-19, the rapper has been very vocal about his doubts about the vaccine and its reliance.

Taking to his personal Twitter account in June 2020, Ice Cube said, “Doctors of the world: Stop lying about the Coronavirus. The people needs absolute TRUTH.”

Earlier this year, he donated 2,000 face masks to Bacone College in Oklahoma and designed his own ‘Check Yo self Before You Wreck Yo self’ T-shirts shirts showing him in a mask in April 2020, which featured a photo of him wearing a mask. The proceeds went to frontline workers.
