LAS VEGAS – A Cardi B concert at Drai’s Beachclub took an unexpected turn on Saturday when a fan’s unruly actions led to the rapper hurling her microphone into the crowd.

The incident, caught on videos circulating on social media, left one woman claiming she was struck by the flying microphone. Authorities have confirmed that a police report has been filed for battery.

The chaotic scene unfolded while Cardi B was passionately performing her hit track “Bodak Yellow” to an enthusiastic audience.

In the midst of the performance, a fan recklessly tossed a large drink onto the stage, visibly startling the artist.

Reacting to the unexpected provocation, Cardi B swiftly threw her microphone towards the fan, inadvertently hitting both the intended target and another woman before it ricocheted into the air.

According to a statement released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a woman, who remains unnamed, reported the battery case to authorities one day after the concert.

She alleged that she was hit by an object thrown from the stage during the event by Cardi B. While the incident has been officially documented in a police report, no arrests or citations have been issued as of yet, leaving the matter under investigation.

SurgeZirc US has reached out to representatives for Cardi B, for comments on the incident, but no response has been received yet.

Drai’s Las Vegas, the venue where the show took place, also remained silent in response to requests for comment as of Monday.

Unfortunately, this is not the first instance of artists facing similar incidents during live performances. Just last June, singer Bebe Rexha shared images of her bruised eye after a concertgoer threw a phone at her during a show in Manhattan.

Another incident involved country singer Kelsea Ballerini being hit in the face by an object while on stage in Idaho. Even Harry Styles experienced a similar occurrence during a show in Vienna in early July and now Cardi B.

Experts have speculated that these incidents might be driven by fans seeking attention.

The growing trend of objects being thrown at artists while they perform has raised concerns about safety and prompted discussions on how to prevent such incidents in the future.

As the investigation into the Cardi B concert incident continues, the music industry may need to address security measures and audience behavior to ensure the safety and enjoyment of both performers and fans at live events.
